Transform your Paradigm to Birth in Bliss

Updated: Mar 6

A paradigm is the internal framework through which we interpret the world—it’s the collection of beliefs, stories, expectations, and subconscious assumptions that shape what we notice, what we attract, and what we believe is possible. Paradigms operate quietly in the background, filtering our experiences and reinforcing themselves through repetition. What we consistently hear, see, and experience often reflects the paradigm we’re living inside of, not because reality is fixed, but because our perception and energetic orientation are. When a paradigm shifts, reality appears to shift with it.

During my first pregnancy, I was surrounded by traumatic birth stories. Everywhere I turned, birth was described as something to fear—painful, dangerous, and out of a woman’s control. These stories seeped into my subconscious and shaped what I believed birth had to be. Even when I desired something different, the dominant narrative around me was constantly reinforced. Trauma in birth truly felt normal to me & suffering felt expected. My first birth aligned with that belief system.

When I found myself pregnant again, I had not forgotten the voice in my mind that kept telling me “birth is meant to be enjoyed”. I decided that if I wanted to create a new experience for my second birth, I had to transform my paradigm. As I intentionally did the inner work—questioning inherited beliefs, releasing fears, and consciously choosing new truths about birth—(add in me watching about 100 hours of Bob Proctor videos) I noticed the stories around me started to change. Without seeking them out, I began hearing more and more accounts of calm, empowered, blissful births. Women spoke of feeling safe in their bodies, deeply connected, and even euphoric. These stories didn’t feel rare or miraculous anymore; they felt natural, familiar, and accessible!

That shift was my clearest indicator that my paradigm had transformed. I didn’t need external validation or proof—I was actively seeing it reflected back to me through the experiences flowing into my life. The world around me was mirroring a new internal reality. Where fear once echoed, trust now resonated. Birthing in Bliss had become the new normal for me. I had created a new reality for my dream birth experience to play out in and it DID even better than I had expected it to.
