I saw my birth before it happened...

A month before giving birth to my daughter, I saw a glimpse of my birth experience.

I had been meditating 2-3 times a day to manifest my PAINLESS birth experience. By the time I was 8 months pregnant, I had finally released the desire to force any visualizations, and had fully surrendered to living in pure bliss. That's when the magic unfolded...

While I was deep in meditation, I suddenly began to observe myself as if I was seeing myself in a movie. I saw my arms stretched out across my birthing pool, my black water bottle beside me, my hair clipped back, my white earrings...and a deep inner knowing that I was observing my birth that I had yet to experience.

As soon as I came back into the physical realm I had a HUGE rush of love and thought

"WHAT THE F JUST HAPPENED?"

I ran to find my partner and told him "I just saw my birth and it is going to be beautiful."

Fast forward a month later, my daughter entered this world. Calm, gently, quickly, easily, and completely PAINLESS. But, the craziest part? My partner took a single photo and showed me afterwards.

It was the exact image I had seen during my meditation.

That moment changed me. I continue to be fascinated by meditation, consciousness, & the incredible capabilities of the human mind. Lucky for me, I have been connected to some of the top researchers in these fields. In fact, just last month, while at a meditation retreat, I had the honor to ask a researcher from the Center of Healthy Minds UW Madison "how the f did this happen?!"

He looked at me.

Smiled.

And said,

"I do not know, but I am happy you are on this path. Stay on it."

That was it.

There was something extremely freeing about hearing one of the world's leading meditation researchers say, "I don't know."

It reminded me that not everything meaningful can be explained. Some experiences are simply meant to be experienced.

That conversation reaffirmed something I've been feeling for years. The deeper I go into meditation, the less interested I become in having all the answers. I'm more interested in staying curious. In continuing to explore & remaining open to the mystery.

That one meditation, almost 2 years ago, completely changed the direction of my life. It's why I do the work I do today. It's why I believe preparing your mind is just as important as preparing your body. And it's why I'll probably keep asking questions that don't always have answers.

I'd love to know...

Have you ever experienced something that you couldn't explain—but knew was real?

If so, send me a message. I'd love to hear your story.

Best,

Jenée
